At Beaucaire Terre d'Argence, arts and crafts are no respecters of time and conventions. Traditional crafts, such as basket-, chair- or stained glass-making, exist side by side with decoration and design - for the greater enrichment of both.  Potters, embroiderers, leatherworkers and other professional craftsmen transgress established rules by adapting their techniques to materials which had not been heard of in earlier times.  Most of these artists and craftsmen offer, in addition to the sale of their products, training courses in their disciplines. And in Terre d'Argence, gastronomy is not forgotten!
The diversity of arts and crafts in Beaucaire has led naturally to the town becoming part of the "Archipel des Métiers d'Art" ( a list of places in France known for their rich art traditions); In obtaining, in 1999, the quality label "Ville et Métiers d'Art", which few towns can boast of possessing, Beaucaire was deservedly rewarded for its patient and ongoing efforts to perpetuate traditional "savoir faire", while adapting it to contemporary tastes.
