This 17th century quadrangular mansion, standing in the former Rue des Couvertes, derives its name from an old Beaucaire family, several of whose members were city consuls (=magistrates).  Its exterior is distinguished by a rusticated façade, and, above the carriage entrance, a head of Hercules, wearing the skin of the Nemean lion.
