It is here that are raised the bulls which the "razeteurs" will face in the "courses camarguaises" Mounted on their tireless pale grey Camargue horses, the "gardians" watch over these muscular athletes (the bulls), riding alongside them over the vast plain. But the "manades", with their "ferrades" (branding of calves), horse-riding, traditional meals and festivals, accompanied by gypsy music, are also centres welcoming towndwellers in search of open spaces, sea breezes and authenticity.
